July 1st: Dallas Days Fireman's Bazaar, Parade & Fireworks
Back Mt. natives will remember the Firemen's Bazaar that used to be held behind the old library. Well, we decided to bring all that fun back for our Bicentennial Celebration. Enjoy an afternoon of family fun with Fireman's Olympics competition, games for the kids, a parade from Yalick Road to the Fairgrounds, Tractor Rodeo, Battle of the Bands, and plenty of food, all at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds, on Saturday, July 1st. Gates open at 3:00 p.m.; Parade at 5:00 p.m.; Fireworks at dusk.
July 9th: Dallas Bicentennial Day with the RailRiders!
On Sunday, July 9th, at 1:05 p.m., experience Dallas Bicentennial Day with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders! Tickets are $10 for the game against the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs.
Dallas Township Supervisor Bill Grant will throw out the first pitch, and Dallas’ own Caroline Thomas will sing during the event.
